Vendor Reputation Probe: what AI says about a company before you pay them

Put four neutral questions about any vendor to each AI engine and read exactly what came back, with the sources it cited.

What it is

A pre-purchase lookup. You type the name of an agency, freelancer, or tool, and we ask each configured AI engine four plain questions: what they sell, what customers report, what it costs, and who the alternatives are. You get the engine's own words, the domains it cited, and how many of the four answers actually named the company.

When to use it

Before you hire an agency or buy a tool, especially one that found you through an ad. It is most useful for companies with no reviews anywhere, where every normal trust signal comes up empty and you have nothing to go on.

Step by step

  1. 1Open Vendor Reputation from the sidebar.
  2. 2Type the vendor or company name exactly as they present it.
  3. 3Click Run the probe. Engines are queried live, so it takes a few seconds.
  4. 4Read each engine card: how many answers named them, the sources cited, and one verbatim excerpt.

What you will see

One card per engine. A card with a solid border was sampled and shows a real count. A dashed card means we did not measure that engine, which is not a finding about the vendor. An engine that answered all four questions without ever naming the company is shown as a measured absence, which is different again.

Measured, never manufactured

We never rate a vendor. There is no score, no verdict, and no safe-or-unsafe label, because a handful of samples cannot support one and it would be our claim about someone else's business. The prompts are deliberately neutral: asking an engine whether a company is a scam reliably produces scam-shaped text about companies with no complaints at all. We also never treat a missing AI footprint as a mark against anyone, since new, private, and offline-sold businesses routinely have none.
