Why these are free. Most of them fetch a public file and read it, so they cost us nothing to run and can stay free permanently. The rank checker and search volume do cost us a real data call, which is why those two are capped at a few runs a day rather than metered. What we sell is the part a one-off check cannot do: running it on a schedule, keeping the history, and telling you when something changed.
