agents.md is an emerging convention, a sibling of llms.txt: a markdown file at your site root addressed to AI agents that visit to do something, naming your key task pages, what an agent may and may not do, and where your policies live. Support today is early and uneven, and we will not pretend otherwise. We generate the structure and the URL shapes from your hostname; every guess is labeled as one.

Questions
- Why does the output have placeholder text in it?
- Because the parts we cannot know are the parts that matter. We can derive URL shapes like /pricing and /contact from your hostname, and they are labeled as guesses to edit. What your business is and which tasks you want an agent performing are yours to state, and filling them with something plausible would be inventing your policy for you.
- Do AI agents actually read agents.md today?
- Support is early and uneven, and no agent vendor has committed to it. It is a convention pushed by agentready.org and a growing app ecosystem, in the same position llms.txt occupied at its start. The honest case for publishing one: it costs a single file, and it is the one place where your permissions for agents are written down rather than implied.

- Yes, no signup, and it runs in your browser rather than on our servers. Your domain is never sent to us.
