Saved report versions

Freeze a report as a dated snapshot that re-opens exactly as it was, however far the live measurements move afterwards.

What it is

An immutable copy of a report’s figures at the moment you saved it: the Visibility Score and its pillars, Answer Share per engine with its sample counts, share of voice, and your top cited pages, stored verbatim alongside the date of the measurement behind them.

When to use it

Before a redesign or a migration, at the start of a client engagement, and any time you want a baseline you can point back to without arguing about what the numbers were.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the report from Analyze.
  2. 2Give the version a label if you want one, for example Q3 baseline, then click Save this version.
  3. 3Follow the link to the frozen copy to confirm it re-opens unchanged.
  4. 4Reach every snapshot later from Saved report versions, linked on the report page.

What you will see

A list of saved versions with their labels and save times, and, on opening one, a frozen-snapshot banner naming the save date and the date of the underlying measurement, above the stored figures.

Measured, never manufactured

Nothing recomputes on read. A saved report is the figures as they stood, so it can never silently change when live data moves, and the banner says out loud that the page is not current instead of letting a reader assume it is. Only measured values are stored, so a snapshot cannot turn into a prediction just because time passed. A held score is stored as held, too, rather than being resolved into a number after the fact.
